How to Fall Asleep Midnight Wakeup

Nadine Hemens, a middle-school associate principal, suggests reading before bed or around 3 a.m.

"I used to make my midnight sleeplessness worse by checking email.

Now, I tell myself it can wait & listen to a meditation app on my phone.

I fall asleep without noticing "saying, If you can't sleep without your computer, iPad, or phone, dim the screen.

This may help you sleep. "Emotional distress, anxiety, or a busy mind can trigger midnight sleeplessness.

Nighttime sleep cycles occur. As each cycle begins, we wake up briefly but quickly fall back asleep. If you're stressed, such wake-ups might become complete awakenings.
