Dress Code

Proper dance attire is extremely important for a child’s dance education.  Dancers must be dressed so they can reach the level of movement required for each class and it allows us to see the dancer’s form and teach the correct technique for each style of dance.

 Preschool and Kindergarten/1st Grade Classes
  • Attire:  Leotard and tights (any color)
  • Shoes
    • Tap:  Black patent leather Capezio tyette tap shoes
    • Ballet:  Pink Ballet Shoes
    • Jazz:  Black split sole jazz shoes
 
Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Professional Ballet Classes
  • Beginner Ballet Attire:  Leotard (any color) and ballet pink tights.  Short ballet skirt (any color) is optional
  • Intermediate-Professional Attire:  Black leotard and ballet pink tights (no bare legs).  Dance shorts or ballet skirt optional.
  • Shoes:  Pink Ballet Shoes (split sole required for Intermediate-Professional Classes)
 
Intermediate, Advanced and Professional Tap Classes
  • Attire:  Leotard or fitted top, dance shorts or leggings, and pink or suntan tights (no bare legs).
  • Shoes:  Black Capezio or Bloch split sole oxford style tap shoes

Intermediate, Advanced and Professional Jazz Classes
  • Attire:  Leotard or fitted top, dance shorts or jazz pants/leggings, and pink or suntan tights (no bare legs).
  • Shoes:  Black split sole slip-on jazz shoes

Hip-Hop Classes
  • Attire:  Leotard or fitted top, dance shorts or jazz pants/leggings, and pink or suntan tights (no bare legs).
  • Beginner-Intermediate Shoes:  Black split sole slip-on jazz shoes
  • Advanced-Professional Shoes: Hip-Hop sneakers (to be ordered by Miss Cindy's first week of class)

**Hair must be pulled back for all classes.  If you have any questions about attire, please speak to your teacher.
